Nightlife:

The Hilton Head Comedy Club: Top of Kingfisher Restaurant offers the best medicine to chase away any rainy day blues with a heavy dose of laughter. You can see just the show for or amp up the night by adding dinner and drinks. Guests must be 18 or older.

The Electric Piano Bar is something you must visit! Featuring live music lightly you can dance the night away while sipping on signature martinis or any cocktail of your choice. With their full bar you’ll get the right drink for you to find your courage (even if it’s liquid) to get up and not just dance, but sing-a-long! Rotating from R&B all the way through Classic Rock you’re sure to appreciate the music and boogie the night away!

Beaches:

Need we say more? See our beach page for details!

Watersports:

Hilton Head offers numerous ways to explore the waterways. For all you athletes see our Watersports page! Those of you boat people, read on!

Broad Creek Marina offers Dolphin and Nature Cruises on one of their two boats. The SS Pelican, used as an old navy boat, can take aboard 20 passengers and cruises the waterway of Broad Creek and other inlets. You’re sure to get up close and personal to many of our bottlenose dolphins! Captain Sonny will be your guide, having been boating here since 1985 he’s what one could call an expert. He first started the dolphin cruises on the SS Pelican and after a while purchased a bigger boat for his trips. You can also board the Island Queen; it’s about twice the size of the SS Pelican, holding up to 40 passengers allowing for a more social trip. This is a great trip to take as you’re bound to see not just the dolphins, but much of the other wildlife that often gets overlooked. These Dolphin and Nature Cruises of Hilton Head come complimentary March –October with our Southern Hospitality Pass allowing a free pass aboard one of the two mentioned vessels everyday of your stay with Hilton Head Rent Direct.

Inside Harbour Town you can also find a way to reach out to our animal friends. Vagabond Cruise takes trips on its excursion vessel, the Vagabond, out to the Calibogue Sound and further to find the dolphins. The captain will narrate your tour while you walk around the boat which has an open upper and middle deck, as well as a lower deck so you can find the perfect spot to sightsee. Try going out at night for the sunset dolphin cruise to see the beautiful Lowcountry at dusk.

If you’re looking for something a bit more memorable try the sunset dinner cruise. Vagabond sets out its most pristine ship, The Spirit of Harbour Town, to head westbound after the sun and through the Calibogue while serving you with a delicious three course meal with their full crew and bar. Arrive early and get your picture taken on the boat with the lighthouse in the background to make for a perfect souvenir!

For the historian in you climb aboard the Spirit of Harbour Town during the day to be shuttled across the Atlantic right into the heart of Savannah, allowing you four hours to tour the town via trolley or by foot so you can get the best the city has to offer before boarding the ship once again for the trip back. On the way you’ll find yourself comfortably settled in the air conditioned boat with a snack bar and stocked bar to meet any needs you have.

If Savannah doesn’t fit into your fun filled schedule, hop aboard the Vagabond for a trip to see our neighbor, Daufuskie Island. Enjoy a four hour, narrated trip about the island and its history. Once the boat makes port you can be a part of a narrated tour, or rent a golf cart to explore the island. The island is only five by two and because of this a golf cart is all you’ll need! Before boarding again be sure to stop by the Old Daufuskie Crab Co. (currently the only restaurant on the island) for lunch!

If you’re a sailor by nature then Vagabond has a boat for you. The Stars and Stripes sailboat makes daily trips at both afternoon and sunset allowing you to experience firsthand what sailing can be like. Sit back and relax or volunteer to help out! The crew will cater to you, providing snacks and drinks upon your request making this a no hassle and worry free trip!

On the north end of the island you can find The Cheers! Yes, like the TV show, but more modern! The big red and white sailboat will take you through Skill Creek and out into deeper waters. You’ll pass Harbour Town and Daufuskie, getting to see them from a different perspective. The crew keeps music and cocktails handy, offering an iPod hookup, cushioned deck, and full restroom. Relax under the sun and keep an eye out for shrimping boats sure to be followed by dolphins! After the trip stop by Hudson’s for dinner freshly caught from the boats you saw earlier!

Weddings:

How romantic! Every night on the island you’ll find hundreds of people looking towards the sun and sky watching it set thinking just that. For some more info see our Weddings page!

Movies:

Park Plaza Cinema located on the South End of the island is the perfect combo allowing you to relax in their lounge and grab something to eat before catching the show!  Only select movies make their cut in order to keep the place entirely family friendly!

If you’re looking for more edgy films try Coligny Theatre! Renovated, renamed, and reopened in 2001 as an ‘art house’ Coligny Theater keeps things interesting by showing independent films on its single screen.

Southeast Cinema: Northridge Cinema 10 offers a variety of movie choices to suite your needs and preference. You can even find some of your favorites in 3D! Another perk, is our personal favorite FREE refills on popcorn and drinks.

Bowling:

If you don’t feel like sitting through a movie why not try something a bit more active? AMF Main Street Lanes provides bowling for the entire family. It’s the only one on the island but you need not look further as it has all the amenities you need. Chow down on pizza, wings and more from Laneside Grill’s full menu or grab a few Buds with your buds. Get your group involved and enjoy friendly competition amongst each other. Boys against girls or adults against kids, you’re bound to have a good time together here. You can even up the insanity with cosmic bowling!

Mini Golf:

Get into the swing of things at Adventure Cove. With thirty-six holes and two different courses Adventure Cove provides fun for everyone. Pass through caverns and lagoons on your expedition to be the top golfer! Lost Lagoon has you travel through waterfalls, hills and lagoons, listening to the sounds of the Caribbean. Don’t forget to say hi to the fish! Paradise Falls is a newer edition and more challenging with its two-story cave taking you in out and around the cavern! Also, included in your Southern Hospitality Pass is one round per day at either course mentioned above. This is offered year round.

When you’re done dominating the greens come inside to the arcade! The islands largest arcade features over fifty games including the classics you know and love as well as more modern games. Compete with your friends and family for tickets to win your favorite prizes!

Shopping:

Greg Russell knows that moms love to shop! Here on Hilton Head it won’t be just mom shopping! With all the places to see and things to buy, you’ll find the whole family taking trips to local hot spots for shopping! To find out where you want to be, see our Shopping section!

Spas & Wellness:

As if the beach wasn’t relaxing enough, we know how to make you unwind completely. We have quite a few spas here on the island. And if you’re looking to amp up your wellness with physical activities you’ll find plenty of that here too! See our spa & wellness page for more info.

Museums:

Being a small island you wouldn’t think we’d have many museums, but we are so rich in history the museums were unavoidable! Sure they’re no Smithsonian, but they’re great just the same and quiet popular to inquiring minds. See a list and description of our museums under the History tab.

Restaurants:

Our Island features over 250 restaurants offering you the option to keep it an all American assortment of Big Mac and fries or an East Coast Island itinerary of oysters and gator tail. See our restaurant guide to learn more!
