Singleton Area

This incredible Singleton Area offers the newest, largest, and most exciting luxury homes on Hilton Head Island. Located on the ocean side of William Hilton Parkway near the middle of the island, and bordered along the south by Palmetto Dunes and to the north by Folly Field, this exclusive area offers a wide choice of incredible homes, from four bedrooms up to seven bedrooms. All of these properties have been built within the last few years and some were just completed in 2006 and 2007.

The Singleton Area includes homes that are oceanfront, ocean view, and near ocean on Singleton Beach Road, Collier Beach Road/Court, Crabline Court, Fifth Street, Second Street, Bradley Circle, and Whelk Street.

This beautiful area deserves your attention for many reasons. One main reason is that the Singleton area, as described above, is along the Atlantic, offering incredible oceanfront choices. This particular stretch includes 12 miles of sandy beaches which are, to a degree, less traveled and more private, except for the occasional walker or bicyclist. Adding tremendously to the excitement of this general area is the "Folly". Here the ocean crosses over a small section of beach twice a day, at high tide, and fills and re-nourishes the beautiful salt marsh, teaming with fish and various specifies of semi tropical birds.

Another unique and exciting aspect of the Singleton area is the town's newest grand park. Chaplin Park offers tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, walking/jogging trails, and even a dog park for the properties that are dog friendly.

*Please note that the Crabline Court properties offer a golf cart shuttle service for guests taking you from your vacation home to the beach and back. This shuttle runs Sunday through Friday. There is no shuttle service on Saturdays. This service begins Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day.

Palmetto Dunes

Palmetto Dunes is located in the center of this beautiful semi-tropical 12 mile long island. The white sand beach along the Atlantic Ocean is the number one reason vacationers choose Hilton Head Island, South Carolina as a vacation destination. While located in the middle of everything, once you enter the plantation you're transported to a world of natural beauty and serenity. Ancient oaks laced with Spanish moss, wild palms, quiet cul-de-sac streets, and flowering plants all combine to help restore and rejuvenate the spirit.

In addition to all that the area offers, are the miles of scenic bike paths, three signature golf courses, tennis, including the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, and an incredible 11 mile long interconnecting lagoon system where you can kayak, canoe, and fish. Additionally, there are two hotels for dining along with Alexander's Restaurant and a convenience store. For the more serious shoppers just across from the Palmetto Dunes Plantation is Shelter Cove Harbour. This beautiful Harbour has many terrific boutiques including a Christmas shop and picture perfect restaurants situated right on the Harbour. There's even the dune buggy, which will transport you from your vacation property to Shelter Cove as well as the enclosed mall at Shelter Cove. Shelter Cove Harbour

Shelter Cove, as the name suggests, is a beautiful, picturesque marina lined with exciting shops and quaint restaurants. The Harbour, presided over by the large bronze statue of Neptune has been an attraction for many visitors each year. The charming marina offers shelter for many boats of all descriptions that may be seeking a resting spot along South Carolina and Georgia intercostals waterway. As one might expect, you will definitely want to bring your camera to forever capture the beauty and charm of this wonderful attraction that helps make Hilton Head Island so special.

The restaurants offer a fabulous array of seafood choices, many with harbor side seating. Enjoy the sights and sounds and the ebb and flow of boats and people while feasting on sumptuous seafood. From Italian to Mexican, and choices in between, you will enjoy the special ambiance of the exciting Harbour.

Add to the excitement by discovering the many unique shops that offer a variety of treasures for both the young, and the less young alike. Here you will discover unique fashions, art galleries, novelty and gift shops, and even a shop dedicated to Christmas ornaments.

Something very magical also happens here. Every Tuesday night throughout the summer there are fireworks that light up the sky above the Harbour. So even if it is not the Fourth of July, entertain the family with the exciting sights and sounds of fireworks on any Tuesday between June 4th and August 31st. Also, children's entertainer Shannon Tanner is present for you and your little ones to sing along with.

When it's time to go to the beach, you can access it from the Palmetto Dunes Buggy, which runs from March 5 to October 14. Pickups begin at 8 am and end at 9pm. The Buggy will take you to Shelter Cove Harbour, Shelter Cove Mall, and the beach access at Palmetto Dunes. Be sure to call 843-689-4222 to schedule a pick up.

Sea Pines Plantation

Sea Pines Plantation is really the birthplace of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina as we know it today. With over five miles of white sandy beaches, three championship golf courses, miles of scenic bike paths, two marinas, the famous Harbour Town red and white striped lighthouse, numerous boutiques, shops and restaurants, and the incredible natural beauty, it's no surprise that it has a worldwide reputation for a great vacation destination.

The Sea Pines Plantation has so much to do and experience. Consider all the options for a more active vacation, which include renting a kayak, going ocean fishing, a dolphin cruise, horseback riding, tennis, golf, shopping, walking the beach, parasailing, jet skiing, bike riding along miles of bike paths and so much more.
